Yeah, It’s Been Awhile!

Ok, so I haven’t been posting as regular as I thought. I’ve been kind of busy every since I decided to buy a new gaming laptop. I needed to get some of my other stuff up for sale so that’s kind of what I’ve been working on.

I did get an old Apple PowerBook G4 Titanium sold on eBay a few days ago. It sold pretty darn quick so I was hoping some of the other stuff would go soon, but so far it’s slow going. And it would help if I’d get busy and list all the stuff I do want to sell.

I have a couple of vintage Apple Messagepads that I have decided to sell. One is a MessagePad 2100 and that was the latest version made by Apple back in 1999 when they were actually producing these things. Any, I did get it listed and with everything I have accumulated to go with it, I was asking $500.  Didn’t sell although it had plenty of lookers. So now it’s down to $400 and I would probably take any offer of $300 or better. Don’t know if I’ll get any, but it sill has a few day left on the auction. I still have the MacBook Pro 17 for sale and the iBook G4 up on eBay.

I really need to get the Messagepad 130 on eBay, but I have a slight problem. I can’t find the power adapter any where. I believe that adapt is supposed to go with the Newton 2100, but I really need a power supply for both of them. So I ordered two from a company that sounds legit and has already mailed them out, but there’s no tracking information. No telling when I’ll get them.

Then I do have two Lenovo laptops that I need to get listed. Won’t get much for them and that’s a shame because they are very good laptops for just general use. The Lenovo X250 is a real nice laptop with a small screen, but has real good resolution and it’s a touch screen to boot!  I’ll barely get two or three hundred out of either one or both!

Now, I did get a new gaming laptop. I saw an offer on Facebook Market Place and decided to take a chance. The guy was local so all we had to do was meet up and exchange stuff. I wanted the Razer Blade 15 (2020) that he was offering and he wanted my $1,000!  So we did the deal on 19 July in the Walgreens’ parking lot on Sone Oak. Worked out real nice. I think I got a great new laptop, but there’s more to this story, but it has nothing to do with this laptop purchase.

I was pursuing Offerup last night on my iPad mini and came across a guy selling a open-boxed, never been used, Razer Blade 15 Advanced for $610!  It has the same Core i7-1050H process mine has, but it’s got a honking Nvidia RTX 3070 video card. That’s clearly a step-up from mine and for that price I couldn’t resist. I asked if it was working fine and he said yes, very quickly. So, I made the buy and then everything stopped! He says he can’t get payment via Offerup! I’m not sure what his problem is, but Offerup took my USAA AMEX card without any problem and as far as I’m concerned, I paid for the item he had up for sale. So, I’m waiting for him to confirm he’s shipping the item to me. We’ll see what happens.
