Ok, so the OU Women’s softball team managed to lose their first game of the College World Series. They lost to James Madison U. (JMU), who shouldn’t probably even be in the softball college world series. They were not ranked anywhere and no one expected them to get out of their regionals, so it was set up perfectly for them to come out an clobber the #1 team in the nation. And that they did. Three runs in the top of the third and that pretty much sealed the game.
Well, it did go into the 8th inning given that OU did score three runs themselves in the bottom of the third. It was tied all the way up until the 8th when JMU managed to once again score a single run. OU went down like dead rats in their bottom half of the 8th and that was the ball game! So, OU has to come back from the Losers bracket which means they have to sit and watch all the games today and don’t get to play until tomorrow at 11 am where they will match up with Georgia! Yeah, that’s another team that OU lost to they shouldn’t have lost to. Still, OU did run-rule Georgia in the second game they played a month or so back, but both teams will have rested and will have their top pitchers in action since this is a win or go-home game. We’ll see how it turns out. Could be OU is all talk and no play! I hope not.
