Western Carolina 0 – OU 76
This was a pay-per-view game so not televised. Had to follow it on ESPN Gamecast. WCU didn’t have much talent and OU had it all. We did just about anything we wanted to either passing or running. It was 45 to 0 at the half so we got a pleasant surprise when backup QB Caleb Williams came out to start the second half. Spencer Rattler did just fine passing in the first half, but again, he’s not a runner. Now, Caleb Williams can definitely run. He took off and ran for a 59 yard TD on his second play of the second half. His passing was just as good and it looks like he knows what he’s doing. Our defense was having a pretty good day also. Their O-line couldn’t stop our pass rush at all and we got a number of sacks on their QB. It think we were expected to win this game big and we certainly did.
While I was watching this game I also saw that UT got clobbered by Arkansas 21 to 40! Not a good day for the Longhorns! Good day and great game for OU. Still up there in the standings but it’s only two games into this young season. More challenges coming and soon!
