Nebraska 16 – OU 23
Another disappointing game for OU. We were expected to win by a large margin since Nebraska has been having it rough for the past few years. They are not a very good team even if they have a QB, Martinez that seems to have been there forever. They made a lot of mistakes, but OU never capitalized on any of them. Then we made a bunch of mistakes getting penalized for a lot of mental errors. Spencer Rattler was chased all over the place because our O-line just couldn’t get their blocks done. We only score 7 points in the second half which for OU is unheard of. This needs to be fixed quickly. I don’t know if the receivers are smart enough to get open as they should, but Rattler needs some time to throw and he’s not getting it in this game. Our run game is not that much better in that Brooks doesn’t seem to have break-away speed and doesn’t really go for big yardage when it really needed. Even the new kid, Gray, although faster than Brooks, doesn’t seem to get beyond the line of scrimmage very often and then gets tackled in the secondary. No break-away threat so far. This came down to a later interception by OU that sealed the win, another close one that shouldn’t have been close. At least we’re winning, but the polls won’t like by how little.
