OU Wins!
Final Score: OU 35 – KU 23
Another game in which OU should have blow-out their opponent, but didn’t come close to doing anything like that. He’s a team that hasn’t won a game in I don’t know how long and OU can’t stop them from scoring and can’t keep the ball long enough to do something constructive on offense. Kansas comes out and scores first so OU is once again behind early in a game. It’s going to be a long day and a very long season! OU defense really sucks! They can’t even stop an anemic offense as bad as Kansas has been playing. We don’t have any kind of pass rush, our guys are just pushing their O-line but not getting any where. Our linebackers are getting lost and not coming close to either their runners or their QB. Where’s the improved defense we were supposed to have. It’s certainly not showing in this game.
My goodness, Kansas is up 7 to 17 in the 3rd Qtr. It’s all over ESPN and other sports channels that OU is on the brink of being upset by a 0 win team. This will be the most embarrassing lost ever for OU if it doesn’t get better quickly. We have part of the 3rd Qtr and the 4th Qtr to come back and we better get busy!
OK, the end of the 3rd Qtr saw OU scoring a TD so we were on down 14 to 17 going into the 4th, but we’re losing to Kansas! Alright, two great passes by Williams and OU drives the field and scores. We’re finally ahead 21 to 17. Now we just got to stop them from scoring again! Wow, we actually stripped the ball form a Kansas receiver and it’s OU on the move again. That was a great play by Caleb Williams. OU is now up 28 to 17 with about 7:30 left in the game.
That last series by Kansas was just too easy! No pass defense whatsoever! I can’t believe these guys. Kansas score again making it 28 to 23. Kansas went for a two-points and got stopped. So now OU has the ball and all we got to do is score. There’s still about 6 minutes left in the game.
Wow! Williams pulled the ball out of Brook’s hand and went for a 1st down! Never seen that before and it was 4th down! That play is under review. Brooks was stopped in the backfield when he needed a least two yards for the 1st down, but he wasn’t going to get it so Williams came back to him, ripped the ball away and sprinted off for about 5 yards! Now the officials have ruled the play valid and it is a 1st down for OU. We finally go in to score again making it OU 35 – Kansas 23.
