OU Wins!
Final Score: OU 55 – UT 48
Well, this game turned into a disaster for OU right from the start! First offensive play for UT resulted in a TD! Then OU couldn’t do anything and had to punt. Punt blocked. A few plays later, UT scores again. UT 14 – OU 0 with only 5 minutes gone.
I looked again later and OU had scored, but then while I was glancing at the game, UT scored again, so UT 21 – OU 7 and it’s probably going to get worse for OU! Don’t know what Riley and the defense were expecting, but they were not ready!
@ 3:26 pm – I’m so nervous I can’t even type. I can’t believe this final score. OU was behind almost the entire game and very far behind. At one point OU was 21 points behind. I don’t know exactly what happened, but I do know that Spencer Rattler didn’t finish the game. Caleb Williams apparently came in at half time and fired up the OU offense to get them going. They then tied the score in the fourth quarter and went ahead at 48 to 41, then UT scored to tie it up again!
OU then drove the length of the field with Kennedy Brooks taking off for a 30+ yard TD and the winning score with less then 2 seconds left in the game! I just can’t believe the final score after how this game started. I don’t know what happened between Riley and Rattler, but some how a decision was made that Rattler wasn’t getting the job done. So, Williams stepped in big time. I can’t wait to read about this one!
Looked like Kennedy Brooks had a wonderful day. 217 yards on the ground on 25 carries. That is the best an OU back has done all year. It doesn’t look like Caleb Williams did all that amazing passing, he just did some really good stuff when he had the chance. Spencer was put in for a critical two point conversion that tied up the game at 41 all. Texas didn’t get a whole lot of running ground even though their good back did get over 100 yards. They did complete 5 TD passes which is an very clear indicator that our secondary isn’t anywhere near what it should be! Yet, still OU came out with the win! Can’t cry about that no matter who is the QB!
