Went to the Alamo Draft House cinema last evening. We got there a little early so the theatre and Travis wasn’t all that ready for us. We still went on in and Travis and Pat were just setting stuff up. We were probably about 15 minutes too early, but that didn’t cause any problems.
When 6 pm came around we had found seats up in the sixth row and the server came to take our order. I ordered a pizza of some kind and Ramona ordered chicken strips or nuggets. I also order the Unlimited popcorn and a Dr. Pepper.
They delivered the popcorn before the show started and while the lights were still on and then the movies “Goonies” began. There were probably about 30 people (families) in the theatre when the show started. The movie was pretty bad. I don’t remember seeing it before although Ramona says she has. I doubt that I would have wanted to see this movie no matter what. It definitely was a kids movie and pretty old.
My pizza and Ramona’s chicken came just after the movie started. I couldn’t see the pizza very clearly, but it had big tomato slices on the top of each piece. I was hungry, but that pizza was pretty bad! I certainly didn’t finish all of it. I went back to eating the popcorn! Ramona’s chicken was too spicy for her and she didn’t finish that either.
I think the movie was over around 8 pm and we got back home at about 8:30. It wasn’t a bad night, but now I know what not to order at the Alamo Draft House cinema!
